You can find a handful of my own products here in my little shop. I have designed and realized them with a lot of love for detail. In addition, I offer some articles from other photographers and authors, whose work I appreciate very much and would like to support with some advertising. In addition, I have put together a selection of outdoor and photo equipment for you, which I use myself and can highly recommend to you. The affiliate links will take you to the store of the respective provider. If you buy a product via an affiliate link, I get a small commission and you help me to keep filling Fernweh-Motive with interesting articles. The product will not be more expensive for you.
The inspiration for the orca family you see on the shirts is a photo I took during a boat trip in the San Juan Islands. The islands are located in the Salish Sea in Washington State, USA. Vancouver Island is right next door. Three different orca groups live in the Salish Sea: the Southern Residents, the Transients, and the Offshore Orcas. While the Transients and the Offshore Orcas feed on marine mammals or sharks, the Southern Residents feed exclusively on salmon. But the salmon population is severely threatened by river obstruction and its increasing pollution.

Flexible through the winter.
The gas insert fits exactly into the lower windshield of the Trangia stove. So you have an alternative to the spirit burner and you can now connect gas cartridges with screw thread. I can recommend the gas stove insert for winter tours because the spirit stove meets its limits in the cold. You can use the more powerful winter gas with the gas stove.
A purchase for life.
Trangia's 25 Ultralight stove series is suitable for three to four people. The 27 series is meant for one to two people. However, the latter is too small for me and I use the 25 series even when I'm traveling alone. The pots are made of an aluminum alloy, which is 50% stronger than conventional aluminum. That's why the Trangia stoves are so light and sturdy and the first choice for me.
When it gets a little colder.
The G 490X is a highly functional expedition sleeping bag with G-Loft filling. This insulation material combines the advantages of natural down with the insensitivity of synthetic fibers. The water-repellent outer material makes the sleeping bag resistant to moisture from the outside. With a comfort temperature of -13 degrees, even winter camping is well taken care of.
I have already tried many outdoor pants, but none has convinced me as much as the Makke Pant from the Swedish manufacturer Lundhags. I've been wearing my pants for eight years now, and I truly haven't spared them. They still look good and have no cracks or major signs of wear. The pockets are very roomy, the waistband can be flexibly adjusted, the ventilation is good and the legs can be rolled way up in the summer or for fording rivers.
Fjällräven's lightweight synthetic fiber jacket keeps you warm and fits in any pocket, no matter how small. So it can always be with you on tour as an extra insulation layer or even as the only jacket in summer. The recycled synthetic fiber fabric scores especially when it gets a little wetter and a sensitive down jacket is not the best solution.
The thermal mat for extreme conditions! With its excellent thermal insulation (R-value 7.3), the mat is perfect for touring in winter or in the high mountains. It is lightweight and, when folded, takes up no more space than a 1-liter water bottle. With the included pump bag, the mat can be inflated quickly without getting out of breath.
The sturdy trekking poles from Leki are very suitable for demanding trekking tours in rough terrain and with heavy luggage. For winter use, additionally, available snow plates can be screwed on.
Tip: wrap a bit of fabric tape on your poles. So you always have it handy and save a lot of space in your luggage.
Small pack size and minimal weight (only 1,540 g)!
With the Hubba Hubba, you are light on your trips and still have plenty of space for sleeping and for your luggage. Due to the large proportion of mesh fabric, the tent is very airy and condensation is minimized. You can also set up either the inner or the outer tent alone
